RiNo Denver Anniversary Session

Welcome to the RiNo Arts District Denver! One of my absolute favorite places in downtown Denver, RiNo features vibrant colors, patterns and textures through cool structures, murals and buildings. Because of my love for color, RiNo is one of my favorite locations to shoot at, and was the backdrop for this RiNo Denver Anniversary Session!

If you are a lover of color, you will be blown away by the talent and vibrancy that was put into decorating this beautiful part of downtown Denver. Not only did artists help paint murals throughout streets and alleyways, but architects even designed interesting structures (like the teal honeycomb staircase) to add to the feel of this area.

When Annie contacted me about photographing an anniversary session of her and her husband, Drew, I was so excited that she wanted an urban setting with murals and color. As a Colorado native, I love being in nature and love our proximity to the mountains, however being in the city gets my creative juices flowing, and the idea of a session in so much vibrant color had me aglow! (Also, the fact that they brought their adorable corgi along for the shoot had me all sorts of excited too!)

Whenever I have visitors in town, I always show them RiNo Denver for the colors, the shops and of course, all of the Instagram potential. Not only are there numerous opportunities to take photos with varying backgrounds, but the artists come in and paint new murals a few times a year to keep the area updated and interesting. (No two selfies will look the same!)

If you are interested in checking out the RiNo area murals, I would recommend parking around Crema Coffeehouse (step one, grab a coffee) then heading north. On your left you will see the teal honeycomb stairs, and then past that you can head to your left (west) down the alley and walk down a few blocks seeing different murals along the way. Enjoy!
