Cheeseman Park Wedding – Denver Wedding Photographer – Erin Witt Photography

As one of my favorite places to spend a summer afternoon, I was thrilled when Sharee Davenport invited me to be a part of this Cheeseman Park wedding as her second shooter. Cheeseman Park is such an iconic Denver location where I have commonly come to hang out with friends, play volleyball or just soak up some Colorado sunshine.
From the beautiful white columns, to the surrounding lush greenery and proximity to the Denver Botanic Gardens, Cheeseman Park is an ideal location for a Denver wedding. The couple chose to elegantly decorate the space with an aisle runner and two floral arrangements at the base of the aisle. This tied in with Sarah’s simple but classic wedding dress elevated this intimate Cheeseman Park wedding into a vision of modern elegance.
After the ceremony, we took advantage of the proximity to the Denver Botanic Gardens and hopped over through their side gate. The Denver Botanic Gardens is such an amazing location because within a small space, you have tons of variety. You have bridges, florals, ponds, sculptures, a glass green house and fountains. It is an incredible spot for a couple’s portraits and made for the perfect location to get these two beautiful images.
As a huge Denver lover, I had such an amazing time getting to create in my favorite place. The architecture of the structures at Cheeseman Park and the Botanic Gardens, along with the lush grasses, plants and leaves that surround both helped us to create beautiful images with tons of variety. It’s hard to believe that we were in such a small space but could create so much!
If you are Denver obsessed like me and want a city wedding while also incorporating the beauty of nature, I would recommend checking out the Denver Botanic Gardens or Cheeseman Park. This Cheeseman Park wedding is such a great example of how a city wedding doesn’t always have to have an urban feel surrounded by buildings and painted walls, you can be in a garden surrounded by lush greenery in the heart of the city, and no one would even know.
