As a Colorado State University graduate, I absolutely love getting to head up to Fort Collins for weddings. Fort Collins is tied with Denver for my favorite city in Colorado. The people are so kind, the campus is gorgeous and there is a small town vibe, and above all, there are so many good memories that I made in that city. After I graduated, The Elizabeth Hotel was finished and I always wanted to go back to check it out. I reached out to their event staff to see if we could collaborate on a styled shoot to showcase their hotel as a new Fort Collins wedding venue. They happily agreed and we put together this styled Elizabeth Hotel wedding to serve as inspiration for future couples getting married there.
The shoot also has an amazing story behind it. Andrea, from Laurel & Ivory who created the signs and stationary was the model with her fiance, Anthony. They had come up the night before to stay the night at The Elizabeth, and Anthony had proposed! So, when Andrea walked into the hotel suite the next morning with a rock on her finger, we all wanted to know the story. It was funny that the day after they got engaged, they got to model for a styled wedding, but it made it that much more special.
Some of my favorite photos from the shoot took place at the spiral staircase. The staircase is off limits for any photoshoots unless the they are getting married at the hotel, so we took advantage of our time on the staircase. We also borrowed a luggage rack to get some fun photos in front of The Elizabeth sign.
Overall, it was so much fun to work with these amazing vendors in a city I love, and it was even more special that Andrea and Anthony had just gotten engaged the day before. I hope that these photos showcase how amazing an Elizabeth Hotel wedding can be and give inspiration to those planning a luxurious hotel wedding.
