Denver Museum of Nature and Science Wedding

Growing up, the Denver Museum of Nature and Science was one of my favorite places to go. I was obsessed with the giant T-Rex skeleton at the entrance, the saber tooth cat statue that growled when you put coins in his mouth, and my favorite exhibit of all, The Hall of Life. Even to this day I visit the museum (in fact, I was there four days ago), visiting the traveling exhibits, going to IMAX movies, and even attending their after hours activities or space lectures.

Little did I know that this place that I loved so much could also be rented out and used as a wedding venue! I was asked to second shoot this Denver Museum of Nature and Science Wedding by my dear friend, Kim with KMitiska Photography. The two of us loved every minute of this wedding from the guys getting ready at The Crawford Hotel, to the first look outside of Union Station, to the aufruf (ceremony where the bride and groom are honored with an aliyah on the Shabbat before the wedding), and ending the night with the hora.

After visiting the museum so much during the day, it was fun to see it after dark. We were allowed in almost every part of the museum, so we got to photograph Dave & Alana on the 4th floor sky desk (with a beautiful view of the Denver skyline), next to the T-Rex skeleton in the entry, and even in front of a few exhibits. Unfortunately none of the animals came to life or chased each other around like in the movies, but we still had a good time.

Being such a museum nerd, I was stoked to be included in a Denver Museum of Nature and Science wedding and think it is the perfect venue for any event, especially one as important as a wedding. To anyone else who enjoys animals, nature or history, I would definitely look into this Denver wedding venue!
